2008 Coast Tigers

May 28th, 2008

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this team, I had a great time getting to know all of you. Unfortunately I will miss our final game and end of the season party but I wanted to wish you all well as you move on.

JT, Marlon and Michael I’ve had a great time getting to know all of you while coaching. Of course we wish we had a winning season but we should never forget our purpose as coaches, it’s always more than just the game. Thanks guys.

Thoughts on the final game:

Jack - Swing like you do at the cages, turn hard and fast
Rodin - Run hard and swing harder you can do it
Kasayen - Believe in yourself, be positive and don’t get defeated
Jonathan - Keep up your great work and never lose focus
Josiah - Make me proud behind that plate, hustle buddy, throw hard
Brandon - Step in, swing fast and don’t over think it

Even - Control that arm buddy, over the top, pick your target and hit it
John - Great swings last game, keep it up and get in the game
Rio - You have come so far I am so impressed with you, keep it up
Mike - Start out slow, lock in and slowly bring the heat, tear ‘em up
David - Watch the ball and hit one deep for me

Guys, remember to focus on the runners on base. Glove down. Stop, lock in on your target, then throw, don’t rush it. You guys can do this. Be good. Don’t leave sports, stay active and always, always always have fun. Beyond it all I have one word for you….
TRUST!

Hey everyone! So Saturday the boys played in some really hot games. I think at game time for Josiah, it was over 100 degrees! These kids really toughed it out and did great. Enjoy!
